Brentwood Prep Plays Host to Chaplaincy Conference

Brentwood Preparatory School today (Thursday, 1st November) played host to a one-day Chaplaincy Conference open to all those involved in any form of chaplaincy within the Diocese of Chelmsford.

Dozens of delegates, from all faiths, attended ‘A Ministry of Presence’ exploring the nature and theology that underpins this important ministry. Keynote speakers included The Rt Revd Stephen Cottrell, Bishop of Chelmsford, and D. Edward Kessler MBE, Founding Director of The Woolf Institute, Cambridge.

Brentwood School Chaplain, Rev Dr Adrian McConnaughie, who organised the event, said: “The conference also provides an important time for all engaged in chaplaincy to listen to the experiences of colleagues working in similar and different contexts and to share good practice.”
