Cold Start to Cricket Season

A cold start to the Brentwood School cricket season saw a full programme of matches with fixtures against Bishop Stortford College & Felsted Prep.

In total 5 wins and 4 losses were achieved, with batting collapses accounting for the 4 defeats. The 1st XI won convincingly chasing down 138 for victory with Rishi Patel 57 top scoring to secure a 7 wicket victory. Convincing wins were also recorded by the U15A, U15B, U13B & U12A.  Runs flowed in the U15A match with Daniel Peakall top scoring with 62 not out ably supported by Cameron Lindsay 53 not out. 
In the U13B 4 wicket victory, James Maltby took 5-29 and Edward Cleverley scored 61.  Perhaps the most dominating result of the week was recorded by the U12A who playing their first ever school match together and recorded an incredible score of 170-3 in their allotted overs.  Jacob Knightbridge top scored with 56 not out. Felsted Prep replied with 85 all out with Luis Hardy taking 4-19.
