Cyber bullying is any form of bullying which takes place online or through smartphones and tablets. Social networking sites, gaming sites, chat rooms and messaging apps, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, XBox Live, Instagram, YouTube, Yellow, Snapchat and other chat rooms can be great fun and a positive experience. But what do you do when things go wrong?
If your child is subjected to any form of cyber bullying:
- Tell them not to reply
- Keep a record of the abuse for future investigation
- Tell someone in school and/or report the problem to the police
