The Junior Colloquium is a weekly society which is aimed at our First and Second Form students. The Colloquium provides an important forum for students to discuss a wide range of intellectual and academic subjects and also to help them to become life-long learners. The Colloquium provides an excellent foundation for young, enquiring minds.
Last term, the Junior Colloquium heard a number of wide ranging debates led by sixth form students ranging from the relevance of ancient history, to the role of the British monarchy to the aesthetics of modern architecture. To date, the talks have been both informative and challenging and the pupils have enjoyed seeing first-hand that education and a thirst for knowledge and challenge continues beyond the confines of the school curriculum.
