Mozart's Requiem

Choral Concert at the Brentwood Cathedral

On Tuesday 2nd April, Brentwood School Choral Society and Orchestra will perform Mozart’s Requiem K626 and the conductor will be our Assistant Director of Music, Mr Revels.

Parents and OBs are invited to join with pupils and staff in this special performance. They will be coached by Mr Revels in three dedicated rehearsals, before joining with the BSCS for the concert. Your place in the BSCS Adult Chorus will be confirmed in advance of the first rehearsal. No auditions will be held. If you are related to a singing parent or OB please forward this information to them!

We will be using the New Bärenreiter score. Many of you may well have sung this epic work before. If you do have a score at home, please feel free to bring it to rehearsal, however, as Mozart did not finish the Requiem before his untimely death you may have to borrow the New Bärenreiter edition.

During Sunday rehearsals, tea and coffee will be provided; there will be a short lunch break to go into town or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.

Dress code: All black or black tie for adults and School uniform for pupils.

Come and be part of this moving and seasonal concert and cement our new Choral Society tradition! We look forward to singing with you.

Numbers are limited so sign-up to secure your place now.
