No stragglers in Brentwood team

Brentwood School’s resilient orienteering team were back in action again this weekend at the Essex Stragglers Orienteering Society event at Broaks Wood in Gosfield.

Deep and slippery mud made the terrain very difficult going, but Fifth Year Luke Cooper achieved 2nd place on the Light Green course, while his sister, First Year Stephanie Cooper, was 1st girl home on the Yellow.

Second Year Jessica Mills achieved 4th girl home on the Yellow, while Fourth Year Catriona Kadirkamanathan and Second Year Emma Bowie-Britton achieved commendable places on the Orange course against stiff opposition from other schools.

The rest of the Yellow team, which included First Years: Heather Trevelyan; Theo Williams; Tanay Sonawane; Sarah Prior and Mayukha Rodrigo, struggled in the muddy conditions, but still completed the course.
