Non-Teaching Vacancies

The School has over 150 non-teaching staff in a variety of positions that help to keep the School running. These include Porters, Secretaries, Accountants, Maintenance Staff, Communication Officers, IT, Science & Art Technicians, Nurses, Gardeners, Painters, HR Advisers, to name a few. They are a key part of the School and integrate with teaching staff at all levels, both professionally and socially.

Groundsperson

Brentwood School is a leading HMC co-educational independent school in Essex, just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street.  We are seeking a committed Groundsperson to prepare and maintain sports playing surfaces to a high standard (to include cricket, athletics, football, rugby, tennis, and hockey) as well as general duties as directed by the Head of Grounds.

The successful applicant will assist in making the School a clean, healthy and safe environment for all, and contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people.

Job Description - Groundsperson

Gardening Supervisor

Very rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Gardening Supervisor to join our in-house estates gardening team and help to deliver high quality gardens and grounds.

Our estate is steeped in history and comprises formal gardens as well as less formal landscaping.

The Role

  • Reporting to Head of Maintenance, leading and managing a small gardening team
  • Management of horticultural operations across our historic estate including planting and soft landscaping schemes
  • Implementing School H&S practices
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal customers and teams as required
