OB Sam South returns to delight students with tales of his travels to Madagascar

Old Brentwood Sam South, now studying Zoology at Bristol University, returned to School on Friday 16th October to finish off Biology Week in style with an enlightening talk on the wildlife of Madagascar. Sam spent a month on the island surveying animal populations, including the indigenous limas, snakes, spiders, geckos and birds.

His trip, which some students will get the opportunity to partake in next year, was for a good cause but offered a life-changing experience for Sam too.

After his talk, Sam met with the Headmaster and chatted about his recent successes on the cricket pitch, as well as how the rigorous research he undertook whilst studying the International Baccalaureate prepared him well for university life.
