Midday Assistant

We are seeking a permanent Midday Assistant who is a reliable, caring, adaptable and enthusastic person who enjoys interacting with children to join our friendly team to assist in maintaining the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break. Hours of work: 11.50am to 12.50pm Monday to Thursday during term time only.

Forest School Practitioner

Required: ASAP

Brentwood School is an academically selective IAPS school with small class sizes and a happy and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of over 1500 pupils that’s just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

We are looking for a Part time Forest Leader (Level 3) to lead Forest School sessions across the school from Reception to Year Two.

Our current Forest School practitioner is moving to a full time role with the EWT and we need
someone to continue to deliver outstanding forest school and outdoor learning activities, whatever
the weather! The succesful applicant will need to ensure that all children are engaged and having fun in a safe environment; be prepared to think outside the box and devise imaginative and varied ways of teaching the forest school as an outdoor learning experience to children. Given the nature of this position, the succesful applicant must also ensure that our policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

We have a wonderful outdoor forest space to enhance our children's learning outside of the classroom. Activities in the past have included: bug hunting, tightrope walking, toasting marshmallows and splashing in muddy puddles.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Forest School Level 3 qualification.
  • Thrives on working outdoors and is committed to their ongoing professional development.
  • Will embrace our whole school values of Virtue, Learning and Manners.
  • Enjoys being part of a supportive, pro-active and energetic team.

The role is for the equivalent of 2 days per week, ideally spread over 4 afternoons.
