Chapel Choir

The School has two Chapel Choirs, one for girls and the other for boys aged 8-13. The Choirs share the musical contributions for the Chapel Services e.g. termly Evensongs, Advent and Christmas Carol Services. In doing so, we aim to give our girls and boys the unique opportunity to prepare for the experience of an Oxbridge choir.

There are many other benefits in participating including:

Physical benefits:

  • Provides a great workout
  • Improves your posture
  • Can boost the immune system

Emotional benefits:

  • Lowers stress levels
  • Improves mental awareness
  • Releases endorphins to increase happiness

Social benefits:

  • Helps to widen your circle of friends
  • Boosts your confidence
  • Broadens your communication skills

Places are limited to 20 girls and 20 boys across the age range 8-13. In addition to the musical benefits associated with membership of the Chapel Choirs there will also be opportunities for tours, concerts and possibly recordings. David is a graduate of Oxford University, where he read Music and sang as a choral scholar in the world-renowned Christ Church Cathedral Choir; he is also a post-graduate of the RSAMD. During his time at Christ Church, David toured extensively to many countries including New Zealand, USA and the Lebanon to name but a few.
