A Levels

Sixth Formers can either take the traditional A Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - a worldwide qualification.

Those pupils in the Lower Sixth studying AS Levels will take four subjects reducing to three A2 subjects in the Upper Sixth. The majority of pupils will also take a Supplementary Studies course along with Games and Life Skills. A small number of pupils will undertake additional AS and A2 courses.

The subjects currently available are: Art, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Classical Civilisation, Computer Studies, Economics, English, French, Further Mathematics, Geography, German, Graphic Products, Greek, History, IT, Latin, Mathematics, Music, Philosophy & Ethics, Physical Education, Physics, Political Studies, Psychology, Spanish, Technology, Theatre Studies.


A Level Results 2010
Brentwood School's Sixth Formers celebrated a star performance this year as they collected their A Level results.  90% of grades were A-C with 32% of all those being A and A* grades. 

This year saw the introduction of the A* grade at A Level.  Pupils who achieved 90% or higher in A Level examinations were awarded the A* grade and Brentwood School's pupils gained 33 A*s in total.  Six exceptional pupils gained 2 or more A*s each.
