Although academic matters always take priority, pupils are encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities available for personal development. This can be found in Music, Drama, Sport, the CCF, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme, public speaking and debating and the Community Service Programme, which includes many opportunities to raise funds for charities.
As the latest Inspection report says "The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils is outstanding".
ETHOS AND AIMS
Brentwood School offers a first class education that prepares children for life in the modern world. Every child is treated as an individual and encouraged to strike a balance between work and play, in order to develop the skills necessary for success in the future.
Our pupils are encouraged to develop a lifelong love of learning and to strive for the highest academic standards in the classroom.
Outside the classroom we provide a wealth of opportunities for children to grow in confidence, work in teams, develop leadership skills and become aware of the needs of other people. Excellent facilities and inspirational teachers ensure that sport, music, drama and outdoor pursuits all thrive at Brentwood School.
Brentwood School aims to provide a first class education for pupils aged between 3 and 18. We aim to ensure that our pupils achieve the best possible academic results and, in addition, we provide a wide range of opportunities outside the classroom which are designed to produce pupils who are well qualified, thoughtful and caring, with well developed skills of leadership and who are able to work with a variety of different people and with a sense of service to others.
