A number of local dramatic, artistic, sporting and special interest groups use our facilities. The Sports Centre is open to members at weekends and in the evenings. Local sports clubs also use the facilities outside the school day.
The School's Community Service Unit (CSU) presents opportunities for charitable service. Pupils undertake a number of activities which include horse riding for disabled children, visiting people in nursing homes or day centres, helping with conservation projects or formulating fundraising activities to raise money for specific charitable causes. These activities are timetabled as part of the extra-curricular programme and allow pupils to put social responsibility into practice.
This year over £35,000 has been raised for various charities. The School has continued to support Cancer Research, Teenage Cancer Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Children in Need, Little Havens Children's Hospice, the Stroke Association, Asthma UK, and the Brain and Spinal Injuries Charity.
We also raised £10,000 for The Lord Mayor of London's Sharing Skills and Changing Lives appeal for the Voluntary Services Overseas organisation.
