We are pleased to announce that developments have begun at Brentwood School to build a sixth form centre, auditorium and classroom block. This will include a 400 seat auditorium and 16 additional classrooms, which will be completed by September 2011.

Allison Building
Where Modern Languages are taught in spacious classrooms and in the purpose-built language laboratory.
Cunliffe Building
The home of Classics and Learning Development, this building also houses the impressive Bean Library, which offers an extensive fiction and non-fiction collection, managed by a full-time librarian and assistant. There is also a reference section and a wide range of periodicals and curriculum-related audio-visual resources. Where Modern Languages are taught in spacious classrooms and in the purpose-built language laboratory.
Hardy Amies Design Centre
This purpose-built centre was named after Old Brentwood Sir Hardy Amies, couturier to the Queen. It provides spacious facilities for ICT, Computing, Art, Design Technology and Food Technology. An annual exhibition, showcasing work from all of these areas is held every summer in the Centre.
Lawrence Building
This is the hub of the Mathematics department.
Main School
Facing Brentwood Cathedral, on the Ingrave Road, with its well-known clock tower, this is what most people think of as "Brentwood School". It houses a variety of subjects including English, Geography, History and Politics. The Memorial Hall is also based here - a quaint wood-panelled hall with stage and balcony seating.
Performing Arts Centre
Music and Drama studios are located in the Huddleston Building. There is a Sibelius suite, practice rooms and changing rooms.
Queens Building
The three Sciences are taught in this impressive building, opened by the Queen in 1957. In 2003 a special Science Study Centre was added for Sixth Form use.
Chapel
The beautiful Chapel was constructed in 1867 and is at the heart of the School community. There is a full-time Chaplain and services are held regularly for pupils.
Dining Halls
The self-service Dining Halls are renowned for their excellent cuisine, satisfying pupils at lunchtime and boarders at breakfast and dinner. There is a variety of hot choices at lunch, one of which is always vegetarian, and an extensive salad bar and range of hot and cold desserts.
Old Big School
The original School building still stands and is used for meetings and debates. Steeped in history, with carvings made by pupils hundreds of years ago, it provides a real sense of Brentwood School's heritage.
School House
This is now the administrative base of the School, but used to be a Boarding House. Reception, Headmaster's Office, Bursary and Common Room are to be found here.
Courage Hall
The School has an on-site Sports Centre which features a 25m indoor swimming pool and a learner pool. There is a fitness suite with computerised equipment, 4 glass-backed squash courts, indoor rifle range, a main hall large enough to accommodate 7 badminton courts plus a multi-purpose room for fencing, dance and other activities. There is also a purpose-built Fencing Salle that was used by our famous ex-pupil Commonwealth Gold medal winner Alex O'Connell and is now the practise home of the School's strong fencing community.
Outdoor Sporting Facilities
The School is set in 72 acres of grounds offering many football, rugby, cricket and hockey pitches, tennis and netball courts and an athletics track. There is also an all-weather floodlit pitch.
Pavilion
With changing rooms on the ground floor, and a balcony overlooking the School's vast grounds, this is the home of Brentwood School's cricketers.
Hough House
This is the boys' boarding house, containing single study bedrooms. It has been recently refurbished and boasts facilities, including a common room; 2 television rooms; a well-equipped kitchen and a computer suite.
Mill Hill
This large Victorian house is the girls' boarding house. It has been completely modernised whilst retaining its character. Modern extensions to the main house contain single and double study bedrooms.
