The girls' accommodation is centred on a large Victorian house that has been completely modernised whilst retaining its character. Modern extensions to the main house contain single and double study bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and washbasins. The original building houses a large common room, fully fitted modern kitchen and a purpose-built computer suite.
Mr and Mrs Shipway are Housemaster and Housemistress of the girls' boarding house. They have two children, a boy and a girl who are educated at Brentwood School Pre-Prep and Prep Schools. Mr Shipway teaches Biology and Psychology at Brentwood School. Besides being a full time mother, Mrs Shipway has previously worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Mr and Mrs Shipway aim is to ensure boarders are happy and encouraged to play a full part in all the school has to offer.
