Brentwood School is very proud of its musical tradition and no more so than here in the Preparatory School. Pupils take part in a wide range of class activities which include singing and composing. The department has its own specialist facilities including a music classroom, music technology room and seven music practice rooms. We have thirteen visiting music staff who provide individual, instrumental tuition to pupils throughout the school. Our extra-curricular programme is strong - our senior and junior choirs are very popular with both boys and girls, and our school orchestra, flute choir and other ensembles perform at our concerts. We hold several concerts each year as well as informal music recitals which offer pupils an opportunity to develop their confidence and performing skills in a relaxed setting. There is even an assembly orchestra which accompanies our children's singing in assembly each morning.
