This year 15 Upper Sixth students will be completing their 15th year at Brentwood School. Brentwood School is made up of three schools, the Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory and Senior School and these pupils were among those in the first ever nursery class at the Pre-Preparatory when it first opened its doors in 1995. Since joining in 1995 at the age of three, the pupils have continued their education throughout all three schools.
To celebrate these pupil's achievement and commitment to the school they have been invited as guests of honour to the Pre-Preparatory Sports Afternoon on the 24th June 2010, and then for a celebration at the Headmaster's house with their parents.
The pupils reminisced about their time at Brentwood School when it was brought to their attention that they had attended for 15 years, student Ryan Barrell commented "My favourite memory of my 15 years at this school has to be performing in Siena on a music trip and taking part in the Sixth Form Charity Show. I have also made so many good friends in my time here; I will really miss this school". Rachelle Warrington commented "I have many fond memories of my excellent teachers at Brentwood School. They have helped me to achieve my very best and what I accomplish in the future will never be mine alone."
When asked what they plan to do in the future, pupil Grace O'Connell, who achieved 9 A*s and 1 A grade at GCSE level and is predicted to gain 4 As at A Level, said that she plans to go on to study Medicine at Keele University in September 2010. Alexander Tai who received 5 A*s, 4 As and 1 B grade at GCSE level and is expected to attain 36 points in the IB Diploma Programme said he hopes to study Law at Birmingham University.
All of the 15 pupils achieved excellent examination results in their time at the school; gaining A* - C grades for their GCSEs. They are also all predicted A - C grades or 36 points for their A Level's or IB diploma programme. All 15 plan to go to university this September to study a variety of subjects including Politics, Mathematics, Latin and Music.
Headmaster Ian Davies commented "I would like to congratulate the pupils on this achievement and wish them every success in the future. In the 15 years that they have attended Brentwood School the pupils have all achieved excellent examination results and gained much from the wider life of the school."
