Mr Peter Tatchell with SABS Patron & Brentwood School Headmaster, Mr Ian Davies
Mr Peter Tatchell, human rights campaigner, came to Brentwood School yesterday to talk to The Sir Antony Browne Society (SABS) in Old Big School about Human Rights and Human Wrongs.
Peter Tatchell is one of Britain's most outspoken campaigners for human rights in general and gay rights in particular. He co-founded the direct action group OutRage and was named Campaigner of the Year in the 2009 Observer ethical awards.
Last Friday Professor Anthony Slinn gave an excellent talk about The Impressionists before the Sir Antony Browne Dinner at which the after dinner speaker was The Times journalist Andrew Billen, who is a former pupil and Old Brentwood.

The SABS, for Sixth Formers exists to provide a forum for intellectual discussion and cultural interest and aims to encompass as wide a range of disciplines as possible: MPs' lectures, art critics, BBC executives, visits to plays and concerts, and debates are all part of the varied programme.
At Brentwood School talented pupils are encouraged to extend their talents through special groups and teams, with activities organised both in and outside school during term time and holidays.
