Brentwood School Sixth Formers, Sarah-Jane Lang, Douglas McKechnie, Jasmin Daly and Abigail Ryan are celebrating success in the British Biology Olympiad competition after receiving 3 Silver Medals and 1 Commended Certificate for their performance.  The British Biology Olympiad is a national competition attracting entries from all over the UK and is produced by the Institute of Biology which is designed to challenge and reward the very best school age biologists in the country.  Receiving 3 Silver Medals and a Commended Certificate is an excellent achievement.

Head of Biology at Brentwood School, Mr. Taylor commented, "The British Biology Olympiad is a prestigious competition and the standard of entries is always high.   All of the pupils that took part have done exceptionally well to have their achievement acknowledged in this way.  They are now preparing for their A2 examinations and we wish them every success."

Brentwood School always ranks in the top third of the competition of some 1500 participants, but this is the highest amount of medals and commendations that the school has had for the past decade in the competition.
