The Essex Cross Country Leagues have been completed over the course of the Christmas holidays and despite the adverse weather conditions, Brentwood pupils have yet again produced some outstanding results.

Chris Waltham (2^nd Year) finished 3^rd in the U13 League, finishing 2^nd in the final race at Colchester. In the U13 girls' category, Madeline Gough and Christy Dailly finished the League season, 4^th and 10^th respectively. Lucy Longden also deserves special mention for finishing 15^th in the Colchester race. Stephen Woodford and Tom Davis continue to excel in the U15 boys' age group finishing 3^rd and 10^th respectively in the final League standings. Lastly, 5^th Year pupil Rebecca O'Neil finished 4^th in the last U17 girls race of the season.

These pupils are to be commended for these significant achievements and we look forward to hearing of further successes both in Cross Country and on the track.

Congratulations also to the Under 13 cross country team who competed at the Caldicott School event.  With six runners to score they won with an impressive total of 57 points.
