On Tuesday 6 October, Brentwood School hosted the First Round of the England Schools Cross Country Cup. Director of Extra-Curricular Activities, Mr John Killilea organised this significant event involving approximately 400 athletes representing a large number of schools in Essex. The rain came down which is to be expected in Cross Country running, however Mr Pye had prepared his athletes well.

The Junior boys competed with great determination as did the Intermediate Boys who ultimately missed the qualification target by a mere 2 points. I am delighted to report that both the Junior and Intermediate Girls' teams have qualified for the Regional Final to be held at Barnet Copthall Stadium on Saturday 14 November. This is a considerable achievement and we wish the girls every success.
