Brentwood School's following pupils won the National Finals in the Team Tennis Senior Students Competition:
Aimee Daly (1 seed)
Georgina Da Costa (2 seed)
Amy Lincoln (3 seed)
Samantha Da Costa (4 seed)
At the finals the team played 3 heats against Casterton School, Central Newcastle School and then Queen Margaret's School.
We beat Casterton School 6-0, beat Central Newcastle School 4-2 and finally beat Queen Margaret's School 4-2. We then faced Royal High School Bath in the final and beat them 4-2.
A huge congratulations to all of the girls that took part, especially Aimee Daly who had a clean sweep and won ALL of her rubbers.
It was a fantastic weekend that took place on 14th and 15th of March in the Bolton Area. Coach Amy Leath said "The girls showed great maturity, team spirit and sportsmanship. It was a privilege to be there and share that with them. They also won, apart from a trophy and individual medals, a training day at Roehampton Tennis Academy."
The competition started in September where Brentwood School won regionalised rounds. They did extremely well and did not drop a single set until the semi-finals against Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar School where the score was 5-1.
This means that they are the top school Tennis team in the country, a considerable achievement.
