Brentwood School's dancers showed their skills in a Choreography Competition.  Pupils from the 1^st Year to the Sixth Form choreographed their arrangements themselves and performed them for a judging panel of professional dancers.  Choreography comprised of a mixture of traditional and modern dance styles.  There were elegant ballet performances by Helen Walls and Emma Kirby, a tap dancing duet to ‘A Town Called Malice' by Poppy Coggins and Faye McCarthy,  a vibrant hip hop dance to ‘Circus' and a unique ‘Pix and Mix' by Lucy Hilton, Hannah Bennett-Ford and Emily Harris.  The enthusiasm of the dancers was matched by the appreciation of the audience who cheered all acts along.

Headmaster of Brentwood School, Mr. Davies commented, "Dance has been growing in popularity at Brentwood School in recent years and I am delighted to see the high quality of dance that has been achieved.  My congratulations go to all those that took part". 

Although, all acts thoroughly deserved to go through to perform in the Dance Showcase in March, only 14 acts could go through.  Once all acts had performed the judges announced that the following will be going through:

• Circus (Lily Wood, Leah Wood, Alex Weaver, Jessica Robjohns, Jade Romero and Selina Johnson)

• We Cry (Emma Kirby and Helen Walls)
• Mommy (Olivia Nelson and Jade Romero)
• Everytime
• Funky Jazz (Millie Ruddock and Abigail Dawson)  
• Should have let you go (Gabriella Pollard)
• A Town Called Malice (Poppy Coggins and Faye McCarthy)
• Thank you (Selina Johnson)
• 4 minutes (Alice Gough and Jessica Barnett)
• Right Now (Harriet Gill, Emma Giles and Lily Wood)
