Brentwood School swimmers are celebrating this week with the overall District Swimming title after winning overall for both the Girls and Boys District Swimming Galas.

The Girls District Gala was held at Brentwood School on 11^th November with five schools taking part, including, Brentwood School, Ursuline, Shenfield High, Brentwood County and St Martins.  The Girls team won overall for the 3^rd year running.

The Boys District Gala was held at Brentwood School on 25^th November with five schools taking part, Brentwood School, St Martins, Shenfield High, Anglo European and Brentwood County.  The boys won overall for the 5^th year running!

This was another successful year for the District Galas and the Brentwood School swimmers are now training for the Mid Essex Relay Championships in January.

Brentwood School swimming coach, Mrs Carol Melvin, commented, "This is another fantastic achievement for our dedicated swimmers and it is testament to all their hard work.   There are more girls and boys than ever taking part in the early morning training sessions and practising dives and sprints ruthlessly.  I am thrilled that the boys and girls have won overall again."

Team captain for the boys team, Tom Bolatch, commented: "There was a great team spirit and I am very proud of my team.  I am especially pleased to have beaten swimmers of a national standard".
