This year's Summer Exhibition took place on Friday, 12th June in the Hardy Amies Design Centre at Brentwood School, and showcased the culmination of a year's work by hundreds of Art, Design Technology and ICT pupils.
Displays consisted of artwork, architectural models, ceramics and digital photography as well as many examples of final GCSE, International Baccalaureate and A Level art examination pieces. The new Mayor of Brentwood Tony Sleep attended the exhibition and was thoroughly impressed with the students work at Brentwood School.
The Mayor complimented the Senior House Super Chef competition entries for their outstanding cookery knowledge and was very impressed by the high standards of cooking produced at the school.
Mr. David Taylor, Second Master at Brentwood School judged the competition which saw East and West Houses win joint second and Weald win the competition overall. Weald chefs India-Emma Cooper and Tom Bolatch fantastic menu consisted of Mozzarella Salad, Sea Bass and Crème Brule.
Mr. Ian Davies, Headmaster of Brentwood School commented: "I was astonished and delighted by the creativity of GCSE, IB and A Level art at this year's Hardy Amies Summer Exhibition. The Turnip Prize and Senior House Super Chef competition entrants were also exceptional."
