Pupil gets into prestigious Drama School, RADA
23 June 2008
Upper Sixth pupil Robert Crouch has been accepted into the UK's most prestigious Drama School; RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts). Robert is the first Brentwood School pupil to go to RADA and joins the school as one of the youngest pupils to be accepted! RADA has seen students such as Joan Collins, Lord Attenborough and Oscar Award winning Sir Anthony Hopkins in the past 100 years and the school is sure that Robert will go far as an actor. To be accepted Robert had to audition and prepare two contrasting (one modern and one classical) monologues. Robert is already a member of the National Youth Theatre, where he had to compete against 5000 auditionees in over 13 different locations across the U.K for just 400 places. The Headmaster of Brentwood School, Ian Davies commented; "It is an excellent accomplishment for Robert to be accepted into RADA and the National Youth Theatre."
