Summer Chamber Concert
08 May 2008
Brentwood School musicians gave a summer Chamber Concert last night in the Memorial Hall, which featured Brentwood School's more experienced musicians. The quality of the music making was quite astonishing. The repertoire comprised solos and small ensemble pieces, and it was an evening of contrast and varied entertainment. Highlights included: Upper Sixth pianist Ling Cheng Kong's performance of Nocturne Op 9 No. 2 by Chopin; an entertaining solo of ‘The Girl in 14G' by Tesori sung by Rebecca Toft and ‘Sonata in A: Movement III' by Brahms played on the violin by Yasmin Malik accompanied on piano by Nathan Steele. The Summer Promenade Concert this year is on the 28th June (on the evening of Speech Day) and tickets are now on sale and available from Debbie Broom to book your tickets on: 01277 243 241
