The above photo was taken recently to say a very warm "thank you" to the Headmaster and all the staff and students at Brentwood School for raising over £1100 for the Nandavu Community School during Weald House charity week in December.

The photo shows half of the children who attend the school, one of the teachers (back row, with ball), a volunteer from Europe, and several men from the village who have been helping to make the cement blocks for the schools first classroom. Ms Evelyn Roe, former Brentwood School Biology teacher is in the back row on the right.

Brentwood School's donation was a substantial addition to the Nandavu Community School income and has enabled them to buy the many bags of cement needed to build the first classrooms.

Headmaster Mr Ian Davies commented, "Every year the school donates over £40,000 to many deserving charities.  I am very pleased to see that the fundraising efforts of the pupils in Weald House will go to such a worthy cause".
