Performing Arts

There are at least three major dramatic productions each year.

Lessons cover all aspects of the performing arts, as well as developing valuable skills needed in everyday life such as confidence, self-esteem, listening, co-operation and teamwork.

Brentwood School has three major productions a year. The most lavish of which is the Michaelmas term show. Recent additions to a long and illustrious series of Winter Theatricals have included ‘My Fair Lady', ‘Habeas Corpus', ‘A Christmas Carol' and 'Les Miserables'.

Auditions are open to all students, not only those studying this subject at exam level, and, as pupils pass through the school, they have a chance to be involved on or back stage at every year level.

Our fifth and sixth form exam performances are also open to the public and usually take place in the Huddleston Drama Studio. We also have a thriving Junior Drama Club which meets after school on Fridays. Every House in the school also produces an item of House Drama for the House Drama Festival.
