We are delighted with the ISI Inspection Report and the judgements made by the team of inspectors who visited the Schools. The majority of the aspects were judged ‘outstanding' or ‘excellent' and all were rated good or better. There are so many positive comments in the report, it would not be appropriate to single out any particular aspect in this letter. Perhaps the opening sentence of the conclusion provides the best summary of the inspectors' views,
"Both the pre-prep and the prep are successful in achieving the aims of Brentwood School to provide a first class education for all its pupils."
The report acknowledges the progress the Schools have made since the last inspection, particularly the significant investment in ICT resources, the increase in facilities that the ‘new' building has brought and the continuing improvement in academic standards. As with all inspection reports, there are recommendations for further improvement; all of these had already been identified by the school and are very much, ‘work in progress.' It is particularly pleasing that the inspection team not only believe that we offer an excellent education but also agree how we intend to improve it further.
