A special Chinese New Year workshop for Reception children was held in the Pre-Preparatory Hall this week. Led by Maggie of Maggie's Music, pupils were read The Great Race - The Story of the Chinese Zodiac (by Dawn Casey) and were entertained by music and dancing as well as Chinese puppets.

Pupils in Brentwood Pre-Preparatory School's Nursery classes took part in a "Chatterbox Challenge" as part of Make Chatter Matter Week. The week aims to promote the importance of developing children's communication skills in the early years. The children prepared a variety of chatterbox activities including singing rhymes, interpreting music, using instruments and following instructions which they performed to their parents.
