Pupils in Brentwood Pre-Preparatory School's Nursery classes took part in a "Chatterbox Challenge" as part of 'Make Chatter Matter Week'. The week aims to promote the importance of developing children's communication skills in the early years and this year's theme was mini beasts and gardens. The children prepared a variety of chatterbox activities including singing rhymes, reciting poems, using instruments and following instructions which they performed to their parents.

Pupils in both Reception classes learnt about Chinese New Year through music and movement. Led by Maggie of Maggie's Music, pupils were read The Great Race - The Story of the Chinese Zodiac (by Dawn Casey) and were entertained by Chinese puppets. Some children even had Chinese instruments to play.
