Brentwood Pre-Preparatory School's annual Summer Event took place yesterday in the lovely setting of the Walled Garden. Parents were served refreshments in the sunny Nursery playground whilst watching the many displays that the children took part in.
Headmistress Mrs. Wilson opened the Summer Event and commentated whilst events such as the Year One Egg, Spoon and Sack Race and Busy Bee Race took place. The Year Two Skills Relay Race was very impressive as the race had been designed by the Year Two's themselves! Following the excellent races parents were treated to more entertainment in the form of the Reception Ribbon Dance, Year One Country Dance, Maypole Dancing and an African Chant Dance.
To complete the 2008 Summer Event Cups were presented; the Valerie Harper Rise & Shine Shield was presented by Headmaster of the Prep School, Nigel Helliwell to Gabriel Gerlis (Class 4). The Ann Murrells Cup for Virtue Learning and Manners was presented by Headmaster of the Senior School, Ian Davies to Vijay Kundra (Class 4). Finally the June Butler Cup for Achievement was presented by Chairman of Governors, Colin Finch to Roshni Parmar (Class 3).
