School facilities

Set within its own secure boundaries, with its own playground, the Pre-Preparatory School overlooks 70 acres of playing fields. The School is situated in a purpose-built two-level building, with large, airy classrooms, next to the Preparatory School.

Playground

There is a separate secure playground for Nursery children and a main playground with plenty of space for the climbing frame, a wooden house, play tables and a quiet sitting area. Just off from the playground is the Walled Garden, a haven in the summer with plenty of grass to run on, a willow tunnel, a sandpit, and places to garden.

Library

Well-stocked with both reference and reading books, it has a new lending system where books are tracked by the lender‘s fingerprint being taken!

Computer Suite

Every week, children visit this room, furnished with flat screen computers laid out on circular tables with six stations per table allowing children to either work individually or together.

Hall

The hall provides a safe space to explore physical and creative activities and is resourced with quality equipment to enhance learning.

Learning Support Room

This is a stimulating and bright area for children to focus on improving their skills.

Dining Halls

Offering healthy hot meals for lunch, this area is located in Middleton Hall (the Preparatory School).

Chapel

The beautiful Chapel was constructed in 1867 and is at the heart of the School community. Services are held regularly for pupils.

Courage Hall

Pre-Preparatory pupils use the learner pool and the main pool in the School's Courage Hall.

“The Pre-Preparatory School has its own building, grounds and walled garden, as well as its own hall adjoining the Prep Hall.  It also has access to other Senior School facilities, including the 25m indoor swimming pool.”
