Year five recently had an alternative drama class with the help of performing arts organisation, Shakespeare 4 Kids.

Macbeth was the main focus of the morning and students were encouraged by two Shakespeare enthusiasts to get involved and bring the story of Macbeth to life. This was done through active story telling with the use of simple props and costume.

This was an introduction to the play for some students and they will perform it at the end of term for fellow pupils, governors and parents.

Head of drama Mrs Cooke said; "This is such a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to learn about the great Bard. It enhances the Drama and English curriculum and most importantly helps the children to understand and really enjoy the works of Shakespeare. The children loved it and had lots of fun!
