Gifted & Talented Day at the Prep
26 April 2010
This week Brentwood Preparatory School took part in a workshop aimed at gifted and talented pupils alongside six other local schools, who also sent four gifted and talented pupils each to the Prep for the day. The workshop was led by Martin Jennings from Architecture Workshops, a company that specialises in workshops for gifted and talented pupils and all key stage abilities. The focus of the day was planning and making large, three dimensional, models. During the many activities the children's skills in science, maths, literature, design and technology, teamwork and listening were challenged. The pupils began the day by building bridges in their groups and ended it making tall, strong and supported sky scrapers with just sticks and elastic bands. The day was a great success and Martin Jennings commented: "I am delighted with the team work that all the pupils have shown today".
