Norovirus (Winter Vomiting Bug)
10 January 2008
Many parents will have seen press coverage about the Norovirus (the Winter Vomiting bug) which has infected many people over the Christmas holidays. Symptoms include vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, and aching limbs. If your son/daughter displays these symptoms please don't send them into school as the bug is likely to spread very quickly. If your son/daughter is unlucky enough to catch the bug please keep them at home for 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped. Medical advice suggests that patients remain infectious throughout this period.
