We are pleased to report that all of the Brentwood Preparatory School children held a fantastic Charity Afternoon on Wednesday 2nd July. The Prep School nominated various charities to benefit from the money raised during the afternoon, which has reached a huge total of £2000!

Activities to raise funds on the day included a children's raffle with donated prizes and a cake stall (which is always popular with both children and parents). There were many games to play at the event, ranging from football to soak the teacher!  The afternoon was also a non uniform day for the children who were asked to donate £1 to charity.

During the last month all Year 6 Prep pupils have been planning and thinking about how they should operate their stalls and were encouraged by teachers to be as independent as possible.

Brentwood Prep Headmaster, Mr. Nigel Helliwell commented: "The Annual Charity Afternoon is a long standing tradition at the Brentwood Preparatory School, where children are allowed to bring a small amount of money to school with them to take part in the variety of events.  This year was very successful".

Parents attended the Charity Afternoon as well as a committee of parents who supervised the events.  A special thank you to; Mrs Williams, Mrs Marks, Mr Wingrove, Mrs Sarkar, Mrs Daltrey and Mrs Sheridan for their efforts on the day.
