The Preparatory School was established in 1892 as part of Brentwood School in Essex. We enjoy our town centre setting, surrounded by 72 acres of playing fields and gardens. There is a stunning range of activities on offer and our pupils have access to state of the art equipment and resources

We have a reputation for high standards academically and in terms of our pupils’ conduct. Brentwood pupils are consistently at the top of the field for the National Curriculum tests at age 11, and a large proportion achieve scholarships at the same age. We encourage all our pupils to have a great thirst for learning - the moment a child here shows a spark of enterprise, we help them to reach their goals.

Our motto is: ‘Virtue, Learning, Manners’. These are noble words that we believe in and put into practice. Our ethos is based on Christian values that are inclusive and welcoming. There is warmth at the heart of this community, and that is the reason for our success.
