The Sixth Form is one of the most important stages of a pupil's school career. At Brentwood, students are taught in co-educational classes in preparation for university life and they are expected to show greater independence in their studies.
Brentwood School welcomes pupils from Brentwood School, other local schools and overseas, but classes are kept small, with an average of 10 in a class. While the new Sixth Form Centre is being built we have created designated areas for Sixth Formers to study comprising private study areas and computing facilities. Staff from the University Entrance and Career Department are on hand to give advice about university Open Days, course choices, work experience, gap years or careers. Sixth Formers become members of the Society of Old Brentwoods, a forum for keeping in touch with fellow students and the School after leaving. The extensive OB database also provides access to experts in their field, who can assist with careers advice.
