Art in the Sixth Form not only engages pupils in practical artistic skills but also studies art and design in its many contexts. We encourage our pupils to present their thoughts in a visual way and to reflect on both their own work and the work of other artists and cultures.
By studying shape, form, structure, pattern, reflection and distortion, pupil’s passion and understanding for art will flourish.
As students grow in experience, so will their quality of work and their exploration and depth of study will be unique. Students will engage in critical, practical and theoretical study of art, craft and design whilst being shown how to truly appreciate the world of art.
“In the Sixth Form, there are few boundaries as to what topics you choose to explore. This gives you room to express your own thinking and brings with it greater responsibility to produce work using your own initiative."
