Friends of Brentwood School Christmas Fayre
On Saturday 23rd of November, we held the Friends of Brentwood Christmas Fayre, a cherished annual event that brings together the School community. This fayre is run entirely by parents, school staff, and our Sixth Form who generously volunteer their time, both on the day and in the lead-up to the event.
This year, we made a few changes to the format – instead of external stalls, we focused on internal ones. These included stalls such as Name the Teddy, Adopt a Teddy, Buy a Christmas Jar, Glitter and Tattoo amongst many more. In the smaller hall, we hosted our ever-popular fun games, such as Whack the Rat, the Nerf Game, Shoot the Basketball and more. The children had a fantastic time playing these games, earning tokens to exchange for toys and other items of their choice.
We were thrilled by the fantastic turnout of families and the incredible support from our volunteers. The atmosphere was filled with Christmas spirit and a genuine sense of connection, making it a truly memorable day.
Special thanks go to the catering department for providing delicious candy floss and festive food, as well as to the families who baked stunning Christmas-themed cakes that added a special touch to the event. The dedication and creativity of everyone involved truly made this year’s fayre stand out.
We are thrilled to share that the fair raised over £4,550! This will go a long way towards supporting the School in the coming year. Discussions are already underway about how best to allocate these funds for 2025, and we would love to hear your ideas. If you would like to suggest a project or get more involved with The Friends of Brentwood, please do reach out.
Events like this don’t just happen – they are the result of countless hours of work, collaboration, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, participated, or attended, especially Zoe Speckter (Trustee and Treasurer) who pieces the fayre together. Together, we made this year’s Christmas Fayre a tremendous success, filled with joy, generosity, and the true spirit of the season.
