Year 6 Maths Competition

Congratulations to the Year 6 maths team—Dhruv, Billy, Cameron, and Federico—for qualifying and participating in the final of the HFL Educational Annual Mathematics Competition. After an exceptional performance in the heats, with perfect scores in both the general maths rounds, they were selected to take part in the final which took place on Wednesday 27th November.

They finished in 11th position with a total score of 158 – the winning score was 178 and the average was 150.

There were plenty of challenging questions to complete under timed conditions and once again, the estimation round proved tricky. Well done to the team for showing great enthusiasm and excellent mathematical knowledge and application.
