Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of 1900 pupils, just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Mathematics graduate to join our thriving department. We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified graduate with high academic standards to ensure the continued strong performance of the department.

The successful candidate will join a large and thriving Mathematics department working alongside passionate and committed colleagues. The department teaches GCSE, IBDP and A Level Mathematics and this gives colleagues many opportunities for professional development within the department. The role involves teaching Mathematics throughout the Senior School, up to and including the Sixth Form.

Furthermore, all teaching staff are expected to participate fully in the wider life of the School through co-curricular and House involvement and as a form tutor. We are proud of our holistic approach to student learning. The Senior Leadership Team is highly supportive of the Mathematics Department and appreciates its value to the school and the students.

Brentwood School has its own pay scale that is significantly above the maintained sector and we also have a range of subsidised staff accommodation that may be available for the successful applicant should they need to relocate.

Applications can be submitted through the TES website, alternatively applicants who do not have a TES account should use the relevant Interactive Recruitment Form on this page. The School reserves the right to change these dates, and to close the vacancy at any time.

Brentwood School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
