Brentwood School AI Conference

AI in Education: Practical Insights and Innovations

Be a part of our 2024 Conference on Tuesday 7th May from 9am-3.30pm.

As leaders and educators, you're invited to join us on a journey to delve into the possibilities that Artificial Intelligence (AI) brings to education. This conference will be tailored for everyone, with breakout sessions designed for each of early adopters, people just starting their journey with AI and those also yet to start. There really is something for everyone!

Our conference is designed to combine practical tips from those in the classroom, share our journey to date and evaluate the opportunities and challenges posed by the latest technological advancements. We will provide a session for delegates to bring along ideas, successes and challenges that have moulded all of our educational journeys and allow time to discuss them in a forum with like-minded educators.

We are also excited to welcome both Ben Whitaker and James Fraser as guests on Tuesday 7th May. Ben will be joining as us our Keynote speaker, discussing the topic of  'Embracing AI: Why (and how to) educate the next generation'. James will be providing three different practical workshops across the day, in parallel to the other workshops below. Delegates will be able to opt into these closer to the event. Both James and Ben will then join Brentwood staff as panellists in our interactive Q&A to close the day.

Running Practical Workshops
James Fraser
Computing Specialist, ICT Consultant, Apple Teacher

James Fraser works as a primary computing consultant through his business, Eat Sleep ICT Repeat. He is also the computing specialist at Elsley Primary School in Brent where he teaches over 800 children.

He is a certified Apple Teacher, a Professional Development Leader with STEM Learning, and delivers training and pupil workshops to schools across the UK; supporting them to develop and enrich their computing curriculums.

We want to plant our flag firmly in the ground of opportunity, partly because to do otherwise is to mimic the Ostrich with its head in the sand but mainly because of its enormous potential benefit to students and staff alike, while acknowledging that we need to mitigate the risks.
