Admissions Assistant (Senior School)

Required:          ASAP
Closing Date:  Friday 10th May 2024 (Strong candidates may be called earlier for an interview.)

Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of 1900 pupils, just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

We are seeking to appoint an additional team member who will support an existing thriving team in the management of the extensive admissions process for our Senior School,  guiding our prospective families from the initial point of enquiry through to student enrolment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer relationship skills, having previously worked within a busy and complex service-driven environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key requirements, as is the ability to interact confidently electronically, in person and on the telephone, with both external and internal stakeholders including prospective parents, educational agents, pupils, colleagues, and feeder schools. The successful candidate will be a personable and professional individual.

Attention to detail and the ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills are also essential pre-requisites.

Brentwood is a Google School and the successful candidate will need to be (or become) familiar with Google Docs and Sheets in particular. Due to the high level of data management involved, experience of creating and managing spreadsheets and a good working knowledge of MISs and CRMs would be desirable.

Experience of working in an Admissions office within an independent school would be helpful but is not essential.

Above all, we seek an enthusiastic, positive, service-oriented ‘team player’ who can deal with numerous tasks, and conflicting demands and priorities and remain calm under pressure.

The working hours for this role are 8.30am – 5.00pm (term-time only), plus three weeks in the school holidays to be agreed with the Line Manager.
