Operational Vacancies

The School has over 150 operational staff in a variety of positions that help to keep the School running. These include Porters, Secretaries, Accountants, Maintenance Staff, Communication Officers, IT, Science & Art Technicians, Nurses, Gardeners, Painters, HR Advisers, to name a few. They are a key part of the School and integrate with teaching staff at all levels, both professionally and socially.

Alumni Relations Officer

Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of 1900 pupils, just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

We are seeking an Alumni Relations Officer to build relationships and develop strong communications with the School’s network of alumni, parents, and supporters. They will keep the community updated, informed and involved, to generate goodwill towards the School, and help inspire financial gifts for the Brentwood School Foundation.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at a leading independent school which is in the early stages of investing time and money in growing our Association and building a Foundation that can materially support bursaries.

We are looking for a person who is passionate and ambitious about the opportunity to work closely with the Director of Development, across the school, and externally, to improve how the Development Office communicates and engages. The role requires someone comfortable working on various projects concurrently and being consistent and reliable in their delivery.

Boarding Admissions Assistant (Senior School)

Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small classes and a happy, ambitious, supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of approximately 1900 pupils, just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

Our busy and dynamic Admissions Team is seeking to appoint an additional staff member to assist the Boarding Recruitment Manager in the management of the admissions process for boarding applications, from the initial point of enquiry through to student enrolment.

This is an exciting time for boarding at Brentwood, with the development of our new purpose-built state-of-the-art boarding house due to open in September 2025, offering single, ensuite accommodation to 120 students.

Experience of working in an Admissions office within an independent school would be helpful but is not essential. The working hours for this role are 8.30am – 5.00pm, three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday), all year round.
