Wellbeing Centre Development

A new state-of-the-art Wellbeing Centre will open at Brentwood School in Autumn 2026. This dedicated facility represents an exciting investment in the health, wellbeing and success of every student.

A New Home for Wellbeing

Where Every Student Feels Supported

Opening at the start of the 2026 academic year, our new purpose-built Wellbeing Centre has been thoughtfully designed to place health, happiness and belonging at the very heart of school life.

This inspiring new space will bring together our existing pastoral, wellbeing and counselling provision into one central hub, further strengthening our holistic approach and deepening our commitment to knowing, caring for and valuing every student as an individual.

Built for Belonging

Every aspect of the Wellbeing Centre has been carefully considered to meet the needs of our school community.

The new world-class Wellbeing Centre will include:

  • Dedicated Learning Support classrooms
  • A sensory room
  • A flexible wellbeing studio for group and individual work
  • Integrated pastoral, wellbeing and counselling services

Together, these spaces will provide tailored support in a welcoming environment designed to promote confidence and personal growth.

"You've truly made a positive impact on everyone's life thanks to your commitment towards our wellbeing and growth."

A Calm Space for Care and Connection

At the heart of the building will be a beautiful central atrium, featuring a striking lantern that draws natural daylight into the space, creating a calm, uplifting atmosphere that reflects our commitment to nurturing the whole child.

This tranquil setting will create a sense of belonging for all who enter, where every pupil feels valued and supported.

"I felt supported from day one. All my teachers were so kind and patient in the first few weeks while we were still finding our way around. If I ever have a problem, I know I can go to my Form Tutor or the wellbeing staff and they will always help me out."

Year 7 Student

Dedicated Guidance

At Brentwood, a dedicated Pastoral and Wellbeing team works in unison to guide and encourage students through their Senior School years and beyond.

The team is led by the Senior Deputy Head (Pastoral and Designated Safeguarding Lead), alongside the Director of Pastoral Care and the Director of Pupil Wellbeing.

They are supported by Heads of Year, Form Tutors, the Head of Year 6/7 Transition, School Counsellors, Mental Health First Aiders, Pastoral, Bursary and Peer Mentors, as well as a team of Wellbeing Dogs.
