Welcome to Boarding
Brentwood School benefits hugely from our boarders’ rich mixture of backgrounds – we are a truly international community.
We are currently transforming our boarding facilities, building a state-of-the-art boarding house that will be subdivided into three main sections; a girls’ and boys’ boarding house and a central shared facility, which includes new dining and communal areas and an outdoor courtyard and dedicated landscaped social space.
Set within Brentwood School’s site, our new boarding house will overlook our extensive playing fields to create a harmonious and friendly atmosphere. Find out more below!
It’s amazing to be part of the tight-knit boarding community, which feels more like a family and not a bunch of strangers living together. The friends you make here last a lifetime.

Innovative Spaces, Building Community
Our new Brentwood boarding house will feature 122 single, ensuite bedrooms in cutting-edge university-style boarding accommodation. Staff accommodation will be located at each end of the site and will connect to their respective boarding houses.
A new Sixth Form cafe will be the beating heart of our boarding house, acting as a hub for boarding and day students alike. In the evening, this space will be transformed into a study space and group meeting venue exclusively for boarders’ use.
Boarding at Brentwood School gives me the flexibility to take on amazing opportunities - like working at Guildhall School of Drama and Music every other Saturday. Boarding makes it easy to dive into experiences like this without worrying about long commutes!

Flexi Boarding
We are delighted to announce that from September 2025, we will be able to offer students the option of flexi boarding.
This exciting new option provides the opportunity to experience the benefits of boarding. It’s ideal for students involved in after-school clubs or who have a long commute to and from school or simply as a preparation for university life.
Our flexi boarding option allows students to choose a two or three (consecutive) night package in a single ensuite bedroom. We believe that our new boarding facilities, combined with the flexibility of our boarding options, will greatly enhance the school experience for our students.
Please note, that students will be interviewed and there are a fixed number of spaces available. For indicative prices, please contact our Boarding Admissions Manager, Mr Brian Hays.
