Brentwood School Shortlisted for Prestigious 2025 Young Film Academy 10 Shot Film Awards
Brentwood School students and staff have been shortlisted in two categories in the 2025 Young Film Academy (YFA) 10 Shot Film Awards, a national celebration of outstanding young filmmaking talent.
The Young Film Academy, the UK’s leading provider of film education for young people aged 6–19, recognises filmmaking excellence across more than 150 UK and international schools. Since 2008, over 100,000 students have taken part in the Academy’s renowned One Day Film School programme, gaining hands-on experience in screenwriting, fight choreography, camerawork, editing, and film history.
Each year, the 10 Shot Film Awards honour the very best two-minute films produced by students and staff, showcasing exceptional creativity, originality, and technical skill. The Awards also shine a spotlight on emerging talent and inspire young people to explore future careers in the British film industry.
This year’s judging panel featured leading industry figures including:
Robin Kinsey, VP Marketing, The Walt Disney Studios EMEA & UK (Fantastic Four, Andor, Alien: Earth); Suzanne Smith, Casting Director (Band of Brothers, Outlander, Silo); Ilan Eshkeri, Composer (Kick-Ass, Layer Cake, Shaun The Sheep Movie) and Marc Mailley, Stunt Coordinator (Skyfall, Harry Potter, Jason Bourne)
